IPC Restructures Music And Lifestyle Team
IPC Magazines has restructured its music and lifestyle publishing and marketing team. This follows last week’s news that Adrian Pettett had been appointed as the new publisher of Loaded (see Loaded Finds A New Publisher).
Neil Robinson has been promoted to associate publisher of NME, Melody Maker and NME.COM. Bruce Sandall, associate publisher of Muzik, also becomes the publisher of Uncut. Muzik is currently without an editor, following the departure of Push at the end of last month (see Muzik Editor Pushes Off).
In the marketing department Sophie Watson-Smyth becomes promotions manager for Muzik and Uncut. She joins IPC from Virgin-Our Price where she was responsible for magazine sales. Mike Lock, marketing executive, becomes responsible for NME, Melody Maker and NME.COM. Marketing executive Chris Arrowsmith will work solely on Loaded, reporting to Adrian Pettett.
Publishing director, Robert Tame, says: “We have some exciting plans across the portfolio and I believe this team will be a force to be reckoned with.”
