The Mirror Group has sold its 46% stake in the Independent newspapers, it has just emerged.
The Irish-based Independent Newspaper group has made a cash offer for the 54% of Newspaper Publishing, which owns the Independent and Independent On Sunday , it does not already own. This values the publisher at just over £6 million.
