Daily Star Set To Move Upmarket

The Daily Star is rumoured to be planning a revamp which would see the ailing tabloid move upmarket. A new masthead plus a move away from what many perceive to be a laddish attitude are thought to be on the way.

The Express-owned Daily Star, like all the other tabloids, has suffered a slump in sales over the past months. At the title’s peak in 1986 it sold over 1.4 million copies but now manages just under 700,000.

The Daily Star would not comment on these rumours.
