The Independent is giving away free copies at major stations throughout the country for yesterday and today this week, and next Tuesday and Wednesday.
The sampling promotion follows an experiment carried out just in London three weeks ago. The free copies are accompanied by vouchers enabling half price copies, for the next four weeks.
The Independent are hoping to target those readers who do not normally read the Independent, and hope to woo them to re-try the paper by the half price offers. Feedback from the offer should be available by mid-January.
