Mirror Group has appointed Victor Blank as its new chairman, replacing Sir Robert Clark who retires as planned after six years at the helm.
Mr Blank is deputy chairman of retail group Great Universal Stores and was previously chairman and chief executive of City firm Charterhouse.
He becomes a non-executive director and chairman of the media group, publisher of national newspapers including the Mirror , the Daily Record in Scotland and regional titles including the Birmingham Post and Evening Mail.
