EMAP Enhances Its Music Division
EMAP has announced a number of senior appointments across its Performance Network. Performance was set up in January to house the group’s music interests across magazines, radio, television and the Net (see Appointments Brief).
Francis Currie has been appointed as music director. Previously programming director at The Box, he will improve the group’s relationships with the music industry and develop new avenues for its brands. Adam Turner will become managing director of the Music and Events division of the network, responsible for the development and creation of brand extensions across the networks, which include CDs, events and concerts.
Andrew Harrison, a previous editor of Select magazine, will become publisher of Mixmag and Select.
Managing director of the network Dee Ford said: “These are key strategic moves to underpin the great ideas, expectations and ambitions we have for our titles and events next year.”
