Mega Profile Signs Littlewoods Deal

Mega Profile has signed a deal with Littlewoods allowing it to use the retail chain’s properties as giant advertising sites.

The five-year deal gives Mega Profile exclusive rights to use the facades of the 350 sites owned nation-wide by the retail chain. Mega Profile will be responsible for erecting and maintaining PVC banners on the sites and Littlewoods will receive a percentage of the media rates.

Mega Profile’s operations director, Gary Newton, said: “This is the biggest opportunity in giant posters for us since we launched two years ago. Littlewoods has a large portfolio of sites and we will be assessing stores, offices and distribution centres for their marketing and advertising viability.”

Mega Profile hopes that the deal will appeal to both national and regional advertisers, as the sites are located in city centre positions and out of town arterial locations.

The company, which has previously worked on a series of one-off promotions with retailers, was responsible for creating the largest ever outdoor advert last year, by wrapping a poster round the Fort Dunlop building in Birmingham, creating a site equivalent to 1.5 acres (see Feature: Size Matters In Outdoor).
