Agony Line – First Issue Review
Last week saw the launch of WW Publishing’s Agony Line. The A5 sized monthly has a cover price of £1.30 and 48 pages. The IPR is 100,000.
The editorial consists of letters pages where the magazine answers readers’ problems and articles giving advice and hints. Subjects covered are medical, sexual, dietary, beauty and financial.
The print is not of outstanding quality with blurred photographs and the size of the print means that there is not a great deal of reading matter for the money. Only 5 pages are given to advertising, just 10%. Agony Line carries a joint promotion with Feminesse, and there is a full page ad from National Slimming Centres. Each issue will come with a free Fact File on various subjects.
