Acast sales growth slows

Acast sales growth slows
In brief

Acast registered lower organic net sales growth of 7% compared to last year in its latest financial results, attributed to the current macroeconomic environment directly impacting adspend.

The podcast publishing giant added 22,000 new titles over the quarter, taking its total to 88,000, while its number of listens reached 1.3 billion, an increase of 48% year-on-year.

Looking forward, it has also planned to “reduce the cost base and thereby create profitable growth” which will affect 15% of its current workforce and will be finalised by year-end.
