Dalziel And Pascoe Beats Big Brother

One Of The Actors From Dalziel And Pascoe The latest episode of Dalziel and Pascoe won the ratings battle in the 9pm slot yesterday night, easily beating Big Brother.

The BBC One cops and robbers drama picked up a peak of 5.7 million adults (a 29.2% share of the audience).

Big Brother, showing at the same time on Channel 4, could only manage a peak of 3.4 million adults (a 16.6% viewing share), despite the dramatic tension reaching breaking point as Amanda won the right to do the shopping list on her own.

Another big hit with all the telly addicts out there was Holby City, BBC One’s Casualty spin off.

The fast-paced medic drama had a peak audience of 5.1 million adults (a 27% viewing share) in its 8pm slot. It was an explosive episode, as Ric found out that Diane was dead and turned to the demon drink to try and numb the pain.

An average of 4.9 million adults watched the sozzled doc then perform an operation on a train driver, despite the driver’s wife being none too pleased about it.

Also on at 8pm was The Bill on ITV1. The show featured suspected terrorists and a weirdo trying to relive his time in the armed forces, as well as some cracking dialogue and performances Al Pacino would have been proud of.

The long running police drama got a peak audience of 3.6 million adults (a 20.2% viewing share) and an average of 3.5 million adults stuck with it throughout its hour long running time.
