PPA Launches Generic Business Press Campaign
A generic business press campaign, aimed at raising the profile of the medium, is to be launched at the PPA Magazines’94 conference today. It is the first campaign for the business press for almost ten years and follows the one launched for the consumer press at last year’s conference.
The campaign, which has a ratecard value of over £200,000, will comprise 45 insertions in the media and marketing press between now and November. There will be 14 different ads, each highlighting a different business press sector and each carrying the slogan “You get more business with the business press.” This will be supported by a series of ads focusing on individual titles together with direct mail and radio campaigns.
This years conference has three main themes. Firstly the area of multimedia and the role that publishers should play in the future. Secondly the conference will focus on the two generic campaigns for the consumer and business press. The third theme will be research that has been carried out in the past year, including one piece which urges for combined campaigns using both broadcast and press.
A full report from the conference will be available on MediaTel later this week.
