Hastings Back To Standard

Max Hastings, the editor of the Daily Telegraph has announced he is to resign from the post which he has held for ten years and is to return to the London Evening Standard – as editor.

Mr Conrad Black, chairman of the Telegraph said “Mr Hastings will continue to edit the newspaper for the time being… He has rendered particularly distinguished service in the last two years of intensified circulation competition.”

The Telegraph expects to make an announcement shortly about a new editor, but as yet there is no-one lined up.
