Chris Evans is to take over from Steve Wright as presenter of Radio 1’s Breakfast Show it was announced yesterday, following Wright’s resignation last month. Chris Evans, who it is hoped will improve Radio 1’s declining ratings, is to become Radio 1’s highest paid DJ, on an estimated £350,000 salary. Evans will start on April 24.
