VH-1, MTV’s sister music channel which launched in September last year is to launch on cable in London. VH-1 will launch on Videotron, London’s largest cable network on 1st February. On 1st March it will launch on the Encom cable network. This means that VH-1 will be available to over 80% of the capital’s cable homes.
Chris Griffin, Manager of Network Development at MTV said “I’m looking forward to attaining full UK cable distribution for VH-1 in the near future”.
The Encom cable network covers 43,000 homes in East London, and Videotron has 93,000 subscribers in South and West London and Southampton.
