Our new website is live this week. Here’s why we built it, what it means for readers and partners, and how to tell us if something isn’t quite working.
If you’ve spoken to me at any point this year, there’s a good chance you’ve heard me say we needed a website that matched the quality of the journalism that our team produce.
I’ve said it to colleagues, to partners, to speakers in green rooms and probably to a few people who only asked how I was. So I’m very pleased, and a little relieved, to say that this week we have one.
The new site has been built to do two things. It should make our journalism a pleasure to read. And it should help us deliver on our mission: to make the media industry better by helping the people who work in it do their jobs better.
That mission hasn’t changed, and neither has the journalism
You’ll still get the same news, analysis and opinion from our reporters, along with the columnists and contributors you know.
What’s changed is everything around it. The site is faster, cleaner, and easier to navigate, and our coverage is organised into clearer topics, so it should be much easier to get to the stories that matter to you.
We’ve built the site with Human Made, and I want to say a big thank you to them. They know their stuff technically, but what has really stood out is how collaborative they’ve been and how well they understand what publishers actually need. We’re a small team, and they’ve worked with us as part of it from day one.
Our work with Human Made goes beyond the website too. We’ve partnered on the State of Media and Publishing 2026 research, and we’ll be sharing the findings on The Media Leader soon.
I’m also delighted to have Ozone as our launch partner, and it feels especially fitting. Publishers, including The Guardian, News UK, Reach and The Telegraph, set up Ozone so advertisers could buy quality publisher environments at scale. Its whole proposition rests on the value of trusted journalism and engaged audiences, which is exactly the case we make every day. I couldn’t think of a better partner to launch with.
Beyond launch, the new site gives commercial partners many more ways to work with us
Themed hubs will give partners a home around the big issues that cut across the industry, such as AI, attention and effectiveness.
Our editorial specials will keep bringing the market together around a single subject. As always, partner content will be clearly labelled, and our journalism stays independent. If you’d like to talk about what a partnership could look like for your business, get in touch.
You’ll also see us much more closely connected with the rest of Adwanted, from our events (Connected TV World Summit, The Future of Brands, The Future of Media and The Future of TV Advertising) to showcasing our data and software expertise through links with Adwanted Connected and beyond.
So many of the conversations that start on our pages carry on on our stages, and the site now reflects that much more.
As we go live today we’re still making ourselves at home, and there will be a few snags along the way. If you spot anything that isn’t working as it should or have ideas, please let me know directly at [email protected]. I’d much rather hear about it directly!
There’s lots more to come over the next few months, including a revamped daily newsletter, so do keep coming back.
Finally, a huge thank you to The Media Leader and Adwanted team, who have delivered all of this while still publishing every single day. I’m very proud of them.
Have a look around and let us know what you think.
