February ABC figures reveal that for the period September 1996-February 1997 the Sunday Telegraph increased its sales by 25.48% to 835,635. The Express On Sunday however fell by 12.6% year on year to 1.165 million and the Independent On Sunday dropped 12.42% to 281,660. The Independent also fared badly, with sales falling to 261,316.
