ITV is claiming that it clocked up its highest Wednesday peak-time share so far this year this week.
According to live overnight data supplied by the Network, ITV’s share of the audience was 49.5%, compared with 21% for BBC1, 10.3% for BBC2, 9.7% for Channel 4 and 2.1% for Channel 5.
Neil Morrissey’s performance as The Vanishing Man was watched by 11.3 million people, contributing to the BBC’s lowest ever performance for the lottery programme, which attracted 5.6 million viewers.
