IPC has this morning announced that Nigel Davidson, group managing director of the Weeklies and SouthBank Groups, has resigned. He has “decided that the time is right to move on.” He will continue as managing director of the Weeklies Group until early to mid 1998.
As a result of this, there will be a number of senior management changes which will be effective from September 1. Chris Boyd, managing director of IPC’s SouthBank Group, will report directly to chief executive Mike Matthew; Sly Grice will take on the newly created role of managing director of IPC TV Weeklies Group and will continue to report to Nigel Davidson.
An announcement is expected shortly as to the allocation of Grice’s current responsibilites in terms of the Weeklies display sales, Divisional Classified and Chair of the Advertisement Management Group.
