Madame Behr?

Madame Behr?

LWT has denied claims made yesterday by two Tory MP’s that its forth-coming Friday night show, Live at the Capital Café presented by Dani Behr, will feature a dating-game that arranges casual sex between strangers.

Ann Widdecombe MP called for LWT’s licence to be reviewed and said: “What they are offering is a service to get two people together for the purpose of having sex. In any other circumstances,” she said “procuring sex would be called pimping.” Nicholas Winterton MP, chairman of the Commons Media Group, is said to be considering taking the matter to the ITC.

However, a spokeswoman for LWT told Newsline that both the MPs had been commenting on false press reports, the TV show would not be encouraging casual sex. The reports that a winning couple would be offered a double bedroom in a top London hotel with free condoms thrown in, she said, were utterly false and totally unfounded.

Commenting on LWT’s denial, Ann Widdecombe MP told Newsline: “they do appear to be back-tracking today, but I shall be seeking confirmation of the exact nature of the programme.”
