BT Launch Click+

British Telecom has launched a pay-as-you-go internet service called BT Click+, and a new email address service, talk21. Subscribers to talk21 will be able to access their email from almost anywhere in the UK, and the new services are part of BT’s participation in the Millenium Programme.

John Singewood, director of BT’s internet and multimedia services division, said: “We believe BT Click+ will significantly grow the internet market and is a real step towards internet access for everyone.”

Last week electrical retailer, Dixon’s, unveiled its new free internet service called Freeserve. The connection costs no rental, no hourly charge and no registration fees (see Dixons Launches Free Internet Service).
