Weekend Is A Favourite With Advertisers

According to the latest figures released by CIA MediaLab, Saturdays and Sundays are the big advertising days for the national dailies.

The Mail On Sunday has the highest adspend on Sunday, with advertisers spending £156,884 to advertise in the title. The Sunday Times is the closest behind, with an adspend of £79,475, still a heafty way behind the precendent set by The Mail On Sunday.

National Newspapers Adspend By Day

Of the weekday advertisers, The Daily Express had the highest adspend, clocking up £76,593 on Saturdays. Three dailies – The Express, The Guardian and The Independent, receive over 40% of their ad revenue on Saturday.
