IPC Appoints Board Members

IPC Magazines’ chief executive Mike Matthew has announced the appointments of managing directors Sylvia Auton and Andy McDuff to the Board with immediate effect. Both have worked at the company since 1977.

Auton has worked on a number of titles including Country Life and Horse & Hound. She was publisher of New Science and became publishing director of a number of titles in 1990. Last year she assumed responsibility for New Media and in January this year was promoted to managing director of the newly created Country & Leisure Group.

McDuff has been group publisher of the sport and music titles, and became publishing director in 1991. In January he was appointed managing director of the newly created Music & Sport Group.
