New global programmatic director for The Weather Channel UK

The Weather Channel UK has announced the appointment of Barbara Agus as global programmatic and yield director. Agus will be responsible for defining the global programmatic strategy for the company and maximising growth potential in the UK and developing markets.

She will also ensure the company has the right products to take to market, with a particular focus on video and mobile app inventory, whilst developing existing and new relationships with trading desks, agencies, advertisers and demand partners.

Agus has seven years of experience in ad network, sales and operations positions and joins The Weather Channel UK from Rubicon Project where she was account director and yield manager.

“In the constantly evolving digital marketing landscape, it’s becoming more and more integral to use data insights to inform business decisions,” Argus said.

“The Weather Channel team has a leading presence for its data offering and advertising technologies in the market, so I am looking forward to building awareness of our capabilities and making sure we have the right products to offer our partners.”

Agus will report directly to Ross Webster, managing director, EMEA.
