Internet service provider Freeserve has appointed a senior member of the board of America OnLine as its chief operating officer. Frank Keeling, who currently works as senior vice-president at AOL Europe, will take up the position.
Keeling, who has been at AOL for four years and played a key role in bringing the internet group to the UK, will replace Mark Danby, who will become a non-executive. It is believed he will head an internet investment vehicle, soon to be unveiled by Freeserve.
