Tempus Group Reports Strong Performance In Interim Results
Tempus Group has announced pre-tax profits of £10.5m for the six months to 30 June 2000. This figure is up 42% on last year’s and caused Tempus chairman Chris Ingham to comment, “Tempus has delivered a very strong performance in the first half of 2000 and we are delighted at the progress being made across our group.”
The performance in this period is thought to have been boosted by the acquisitions of Added Value Group last November and Best of Media this April. This led to turnover being up 45% to £1,022m.
The report accompanying the results also said that the company was fortunate to be operating in “a very buoyant market”. This has led to revenues going up 68% to £67.9m.
In the future, the company intends to focus on the four business sectors identified as being of key importance to clients. These are Media Communications, Brand Consulting, Digital Solutions and Corporate and Brand Identity. “We are determined to make them work in harmony so that we can offer an integrated, upstream service to our clients.” said Ingham.
In addition, January 2001 will see the launch of Tempus partners, which is designed to offer clients “An alternative lead agency concept to traditional advertising agencies…which will have access to all the Tempus Group expertise in addition to being able to manage the creative process.”
