IPC Allows Access To TV Listings Via WAP

IPC has formed a partnership with Virgin mobile to offer customers access to its unmissabletv website via Virgin’s WAP phones. This is the second WAP deal involving the group’s TV and entertainment website, which is also available on BT Cellnet WAP phones.

Andrew Horton, business development manager of unmissabletv, said: “Unmissabletv is a proven WAP application and we are delighted to be working with another great brand.”

Unmissabletv was launched in December last year, bringing together IPC’s listings guides for television, including TV Times and What’s On TV on the internet. It also allows users to search cinema listings around the country and buy books and videos online (see IPC To Launch Television Website).
