BTLookSmart Boosts Global Management Team

Search targeted marketing company BTLookSmart has expanded its global management team with the appointment of Paul Eisentein-Levett to the newly created position of vice president of product development.
Eisenstein-Levett, who joins from digital music solution provider Vitaminic, where he was vice president of product development and marketing, will manage all aspects of BTLookSmart’s product portfolio. He will also work to strengthen the company’s position in the market against rivals Overture and Espotting.
Commenting on the appointment, Martin Turner CEO of BTLookSmart, said: “Having such an accomplished senior manager on board will only serve to strengthen our product offering, ensuring further and clearer differentiation in a competitive market.”
The appointment follows the launch of BTLookSmart’s featured listings service, Bidsmart, through which advertisers compete to promote their websites alongside search results.
Search targeted marketing has enjoyed a period of growth over the last year with the difficult economic conditions forcing advertisers to experiment with more accountable forms of marketing. The sector, which has been launched on the back of an increase in consumer internet penetration, claims to offer return on investment rates that are around 5-10 times higher than other forms of advertising (see NewsLine Column: A New Phenomenon In Advertising?).
