Doubleclick Secures Global Tie-In With Publicis

Doubleclick has secured a global partnership with advertising network, Publicis, that will see it become the preferred ad-serving provider for the group’s operations.

The deal will see Doubleclick’s DART ad-serving technology deploy online ad campaigns for Publicis’ entire network of clients, which includes Nestlé, L’Óreal and Renault. The agreement also covers all Publicis affiliates throughout North America, Europe, Latin America and Asia including Optimedia, Zenith Media and Saatchi & Saatchi.

Commenting on the agreement, Anthony Jones, director of strategic resources at Optimedia Worldwide, said: “We are confident that the global deployment of DART for advertisers will fulfil our clients’ online ad-serving needs and further enhance our ability to deliver targeted and effective interactive solutions.”

Chris Saridakis, senior vice president of global sales at Doubleclick, added: “Doubleclick continues to expand its reach globally, and this agreement with Publicis reiterates our ability to provide reliable and effective tools to advertisers worldwide.”

Late last year, Doubleclick released the results of a survey showing that UK advertisers are using online marketing more than their European counterparts. The digital marketing survey found that 73% of senior UK marketers use internet advertising as part of their marketing strategy, compared with 66% in Spain, 43% in Germany and 31% in Scandinavia (see UK Leads Europe In Internet Marketing).
