The market remained in good form yesterday and Pearson, owner of the Financial Times, rose by 2.83% on bullish sentiment.
Elsewhere, WPP rose 1.88% despite warnings that the advertising group’s upcoming results may be below analysts expectations (see WPP Puts Faith In The Future).
Broader market sentiment remained bullish despite a decline in the University Of Michigan’s Consumer Confidence scale, which suggests that consumer spending, long viewed as the lynchpin of economic recovery, is unsustainable.
