Advertisers Give Trinity Mirror The Thumbs Up

Trinity Mirror has unveiled a study which reveals a high level of advertiser satisfaction with its regional newspaper titles.

According to the research, nine out of ten advertisers said they were satisfied with the service provided by Trinity’s regional titles, which were praised for their strong personal relationships with customers, their ability to turn around creative artwork quickly and their flexible copy delivery systems.

The results come from the largest survey ever to be undertaken by Trinity Mirror, with over 3,000 advertisers across the company’s regional newspaper division being interviewed during the second half of 2002. The survey aimed to establish what advertisers believed to be important when dealing with a media company, how they viewed Trinity Mirror’s performance and which areas they felt could be improved upon.

Jane Fawley, head of marketing development for regional newspapers, commented: “This is the largest piece of advertiser satisfaction research we have ever undertaken. These findings will help us ensure that we keep on delighting our advertising customers.”

Warren Butcher, advertisement director at Trinity’s Merseyside titles, added: “We have found the research results an invaluable reference tool to ensure we are changing the business structure and processes in a way that reflects our customer needs most directly.”

The last wave of research from Trinity Mirror revealed that readers of the Sunday Mirror’s free glossy magazine, M Celebs, prefer it to the paid-for women’s weeklies they also buy (see Mirror’s Research Reflects Strength Of M Celebs).

Earlier this week it was reported that Trinity Mirror is planning to sell its titles in Northern Ireland as part of a shake-up at its newspaper division (see Trinity Mirror May Sell Irish Titles).
