MRG Unveils New Board

The Media Research Group (MRG) has unveiled its new board, which includes new chairwoman, Christina Hartley, ad marketing director at IPC Media.

Hartley is also chair of the PPA consumer research committee and a magazine representative on the NRS advisory group. She will replace the outgoing chair, Garry Roddy, who takes over responsibility for the group’s website.

In other appointments, Denise Turner, from the Media Planning Group, will oversee the group’s finances while Rosemary Taylor, of Rosemary Taylor and Associates, will manage education.

Sam Fosbury, of Emap Advertising, will take charge of membership, while Fiona Gallagher from JC Decaux will organise social events at the committee.

At the recent MRG conference in Budapest, COI’s head of media, Jeremy Found, used his keynote speech to reassure delegates that media research has never been more important to the advertising industry. He argued that it deserved its place at the “top table” and insisted that it has never been more difficult to get media planning right (see MRG Conference: Research Has Never Been So Important).
