Opus Launches New Website For The Mix

GWR’s sales house, Opus, has launched a new website, which will represent all 31 of The Mix music radio stations.

The website, www.musicradio.com, will feature news and listings information for each station. According to Opus, it will also provide advertisers with a greater online presence on The Mix network.

To promote the launch of the new site, Opus will be giving away 50 DAB digital radios in a special promotion across the network.

The re-vamped website will better reflect the core activity of the stations, with more information on artists and the station’s local area. Opus says the site will encourage greater integration between the listener and the station.

Commenting on the new site, Tim Benjamin, content manager at The Mix, said: “These changes are an important step in extending our analogue brands into the online world in a way which adds real value to both our listeners and commercial clients.”

Opus recently revealed the findings of a study which claims that listeners to Classic FM respond better to advertising than their pop music counterparts (see Classic FM Listeners Respond Better To Ads).
