Today sees the launch of another new satellite channel, QVC – The Shopping Channel. QVC is a joint venture between BSkyB and QVC Inc, America’s leader in electronic retailing.
QVC stands for “Quality, Value and Convenience.” The channel will allow viewers to shop from their television sets 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Each hour will be scheduled to showcase a product category or theme, and the presenters will demonstrate each product individually. Viewers merely have to ring the channel and goods are delivered to their door.
