Hachette Filipacchi has restructured its senior advertising team working across flagship women’s titles, B, Elle and Red.
The move will see the existing team split into two distinct groups with older women’s title Red operating as a single sell and B combining with fashion focused Elle.
Jacqui Greaves has been promoted to the position of group advertising director for B and Elle. She will lead an experienced team including Claire Bull in her new role as group advertising manager and Jhan Rushton as group promotions director.
Meanwhile, Caroline Lawley will continue in her role as advertising manager for Red. Hachette is currently in the process of recruiting a new group advertising director for the magazine to cover Lisa Tookey’s maternity leave.
The restructure will also see Caroline Wood take the position of client services project manager with responsibility for overseeing the implementation of commercial projects across all titles. Jacqui Greaves will head up the fashion advertising department on a temporary basis until group fashion advertising director, Isabelle Sommett, returns from maternity leave.
Women’s group commercial director, Clare Dempster, said: “We are confident that the new structure will help us to build on the existing success of our excellent portfolio of women’s titles and to capitalise on the recent exciting relaunch of B magazine. The principle objective is to ensure that our customers receive a better level of service, by providing representation that has a deeper knowledge of HF-UK’s brands.”
The latest ABC results for the six months to June 2004 reveal a mixed bag for Hachette’s women’s titles. Elle and Red have seen circulation inch up in year on year analysis, but B has seen a sharp 22.5% decline. The magazine recently relaunched for discerning twenty-somethings in an attempt to strengthen its position in the increasing crowded market (see Hachette Relaunches B For Discerning Twenty-Somethings).
