Rajar Q3 2025: Online listening records record platform share
Rajar Q3 2025

Online listening has recorded a record share of 29.7%, according to the latest Rajar figures.

This was driven mainly by smart speaker listening, which accounted for 186m hours, despite a 3m-hour decline from the previous quarter. However, smart speaker listening is up year-on-year from 16.9% in Q3 2024 to 18.2% in Q3 2025.

Apps and website listening saw rapid growth this quarter, with an increase from 112m hours to 118m hours.

AM/FM listening now accounts for just over a quarter (26.2%) of total listening.

Total digital listening, which also includes DTV and DAB remained largely flat with a slight drop: DTV losing 2m hours and DAB losing 4m hours. Bauer has now removed its DTV channels from all services, which accounts for some of the drop.

Reach for all platforms dropped this quarter in line with a slight decline in total radio listening.
