📌 US President Donald Trump has sued the BBC for alleged defamation over its Panorama edit, seeking up to $10bn in damages. The BBC has previously acknowledged the edit was an “error of judgement” but insisted there is no basis for a legal defamation claim. (The Guardian)

🔀 WPP Media has integrated Pinterest’s Trends into its planning, activation and measurement platform WPP Open. It is the first media agency group to do so via the Pinterest API. (Pinterest)

🤖 In a public consultation, just 3% of Britons said they supported the Labour government’s plans to allow AI firms to use copyrighted material to train software unless the rights-holders explicitly opt out. (The Telegraph)

🎧 The latest Rajar Midas report found that commercial audio (including commercial radio, non-BBC podcasts, and ad-supported music streaming services) has seen listening hours rise 21% since 2019, with consumers now listening to around 707m hours of commercial audio a week, collectively. (Radiocentre)

➡️ The Daily Mail and General Trust’s (DMGT) takeover bid of Telegraph Media Group has been presented to ministers, with Abu Dhabi-backed Redbird IMI officially requesting a transfer of interest in the publisher to DMGT. Culture secretary Lisa Nandy will decide whether to refer the deal to Ofcom and the Competition Markets Authority for scrutiny. (The Telegraph)

🎙️Podcasting and Audio have been formally given a seat on the Creative Industries Council (CIC). The move follows successful lobbying led by the industry body, AudioUK.(AudioUK)
