ABC Results Jan-Jun 2008:Impressive Circulation Increases In Gaming Sector
Future Publishing’s Official Nintendo Magazine enjoyed an impressive year on year rise in circulation of around 27.5% for the January to June period according to the latest ABC data.
It now has a total figure of over 61,000 copies.
Playstation magazine PSM3 also reported a healthy year on year increase, of 29.5%, to more than 31,000 copies.
The most impressive year on year growth in percentage terms was for PSW, up around 33.5% to just under 23,000 copies.
Top placed title in the sector, Official Xbox 360, was also up, by 2.2%, giving it a circulation of 67,000.
Future’s other Xbox title was down however. Xbox World 360 now has a circulation of around 29,000 copies following a year on year fall of almost 4%.
GamesMaster, also from Future, dipped by around the same amount year on year, leaving its circulation at just under 46,000.
The two computer magazines in our analysis were almost polar opposites, with Windows Vista – The Official Magazine falling by around 26.5% year on year, while MacFormat was up by 27% over the same period.
Windows Vista – The Official Magazine now has a circulation of around 28,000 copies, while MacFormat‘s stands at around 27,000.
