ITV To Make Classic Shows Available On iTunes

Inspector Morse ITV has signed a deal that will see a range of its classic shows such as Inspector Morse and Brideshead Revisited available on iTunes.

The deal will mean that more than 260 hours of ITV archive shows are available via the iTunes store.

The shows will cost from £1.89 an episode and can be viewed on a Mac, PC, iPod, iPhone or widescreen TV with Apple TV.

Viewers will also be able to download complete series, although ITV is not making current programmes or series available.

Dawn Airey, managing director of ITV Global Content, said: “ITV has thousands of hours of classic content in the archive which we are bringing to a whole new audience via iTunes.

“Our strategy is to deliver 360-degree value for our content on multiple platforms, and in multiple territories, and our partnership with Apple is a demonstration that we are delivering on that strategy.”
