Two of Spain’s largest cable operators have announced plans to roll out digital TV services this year, according to a report on Europemedia.
It had been rumoured that the two operators were contemplating a merger which would result in the creation of a cable company with a potential market of 4 million homes. The Spanish government has already approved the merger of two satellite platforms, Canal Satellite Digital and Via Digital (see Spanish Pay-TV Groups Given Merger Go-Ahead).
