The ITC has issued its consultation document which seeks comments from interested parties regarding the current policy which includes a limit on ITV sales arrangements to no more than 25% of regional Channel 3 revenue.
The ITC particularly welcomes comments on the following matters:
Keeping the current 25% revenue ruling.
Keeping a 25% criterion but the base for calculating market share should be the whole of UK television advertising revenue.
What provisions on ownership and/or control of sales organisations should accompany any limitations on salesrepresentation.
Should the category separations concerning breakfast time and Channel 5 be maintained?
Consultees are invited to submit comments by 25 February 1994. The ITC expects to reach and announce its conclusions before the end of March.
