The Daily Mirror and The Sun are both to sponsor programmes on the ITV network this spring. This follows news that both tabloids were launching game cards joint with the television programmes You Bet and Play Your Cards Right. MGN TO CONTROL FOR 3 YEARS
Mirror Group Newspapers sent proposals to shareholders of the Independent last night outlining plans for the future running of the Independent if the bid is approved by the Department of Trade and Industry. MGN, under their proposals, would have the responsibility of running the newspaper as a business until 1999.
