JCDecaux Could Bid For Clear Channel Outdoor

JCDecaux could make a bid for Clear Channel Outdoor, which would see it become the world’s largest outdoor advertising company, worth an estimated €12 billion.

Last month, the advertising company’s parent Clear Channel Communications, revealed that it had hired Goldman Sachs to conduct a strategic review of the company, which could lead to a sale.

Clear Channel Outdoor is a larger company than JCDecaux, with a market value of $9 billion.

According to a report in today’s Times, sources close to the company said that although JCDecaux has expressed an interest in acquiring Clear Channel Outdoor, there is a difference between “being interested and this actually happening.”
