HTV Attacks Broadcast Laws

HTV chairman, Louis Sherwood, has attacked the Government and current broadcasting legislation for allowing ITV to fall into the “hands of a few would-be global media barons.” Sherwood denounced the idea that ITV needs to comprise of one or two large companies in order to export programmes successfully around the world and called for a new broadcasting act.
