Television Revenue – May
The combined TV revenue figure for May, based on agency estimates, came in at £175.434m, an increase of 22% on last year’s May figure. The ITV share was £141.768m, with Channel 4 at £33.67m. This is an 81/19 split between ITV and C4. ITV’s revenue was up 20.3%, and C4 up 29.5% on last year.
The best performance among ITV contractors in terms of share year on year came from Carlton, with one extra day’s trading; LWT was also up with one less day. Overall London stations increased their share by 1.02% points. The heaviest losses were suffered by YTTV, down 0.91% points, and Granada/Border, down 0.56% points.
