In response to today’s DTI ruling Granada has announced that it intends to create a new combined sales house to sell the airtime for most of the existing clients of the Time Exchange and Laser. It will comply with the DTI ruling and will therefore not include all the TV companies currently handled by the 2 sales houses. The exact composition of the new sales house will be announced shortly.
STV RESPONSE
STV has issued a statement indicating that it will be moving out of the Time Exchange. In a short statement issued today, STV said “We anticipate that the dissolution of our joint sales arrangement with Granada will be straightforward and amicable. Preparations for new airtime sales arrangements are well advanced and will be completed before the 1995 selling season opens in the autumn.
