The combined TV Revenue figure for March, based on agency estimates, came in at £157.01m, an increase of 12.3% on the same month last year. The ITV share was £124.76m, with Channel 4 at £32.25m. This is an 80:20 split, no change from last month’s share, with Channel 4 improving from the 82:18 share of March 1993.

The best performance among ITV contractors came from Central, improving its share by a further 1.13% points to 16.56%. LWT also fared well, improving its share by 1.06% points on last year, to 12.61%. Carlton’s share fell by 0.9% points to 15.36%, although trading days were equal. London as a whole increased its share by 0.16 % points to 27.97

The worst performance was from YTTV, down 1.02% points on last year. Granada and Border’s joint revenue also fell, down 0.91% points to 10.81% STV also dropped 0.42%.
