Growth In TV Dish Ownership Slows

According to the November satellite monitor from Gfk Marketing Services Ltd, carried out on behalf of the ITVA, the growth of TV dish ownership is slowing down. The net increase in the year to date is 12% lower than that at the same time last year. The total figure for 1993 was 2.376m dishes, an increase of 48,000 dishes on the previous month.

For the first time the monitor publishes estimates for the number of homes in which the dish or receiver is not functioning; at the end of June this figure was 61,000. By the end of September 1993 the figure was 50,000.
