Madame Figaro – Observer Magazine Launches

Madame Figaro – the new bi-monthly fashion and style magazine will be launched this Sunday 29th in the Observer. Madame Figaro used to be a bi-annual title distributed free with the Guardian.

The launch will be supported with a 20 second television commercial on ITV, which continues the Observers’ recurrent advertisement theme of the newspaper section war, the section claiming to be 90p with a free Observer newspaper.

Madame Figaro will also be publicised with a Right Track campaign where 200,000 postcards will be distributed on London Underground on Saturday, October 28. The postcard carries a discount voucher for the Observer.

The first issue carries an interview with French fashion designer Agnes B and eighteen pages of fashion and beauty news. Advertisers for this issue include Volkswagen Ralph Lauren, Benson and Hedges and Benetton.
