Total Television viewing for the week ending 14th May has recovered from last week’s sharp fall. Viewing is up by 8.7% on the same week last year and up by 18.1% on last week’s viewing summary. The combined figures for ITV and Channel 4 have fallen by 1.9%, ITV on its own fell by 5.2%.

Peak Practice with 14.02 million viewers has climbed to number two in the top thirty programmes, behind Friday’s edition of Coronation Street. The National Lottery has recovered some of its viewers, up from 10.83m to 11.32m.

The five days of episodes for Brookside improved the soap’s viewing figures – up from the usual 3.5 million to an average of 4.64 million viewers. (Based on single showing only).
