Moore Joins The European

Michael Moore, who left Express Newspapers suddenly in July, has joined The European as commercial and enterprise manager. Last month it was announced that Bert Hardy would be joining the company as chief executive in February.

Jonathan Howlett, former joint deputy MD of Merlin, has joined the London-based arm of the US sales house, Katz International, as director of sales. Katz owns radio sales house IRS, and manages Channel One’s sales. It plans to pitch for further cable and satellite sales business.

Judith Newcombe has been appointed publishing director of IPC women’s weeklies replacing Chris Boyd, who took over as publishing director of the TV weeklies last month.
